ONEforest tool presented at the 5th Forest Innovation Workshop

Our colleague Martin Brunsmeier (from Rosenheim Technical University of Applied Sciences) presented ONEforest at the 5th Edition of the Forest Innovation Workshop “The role of innovation in managing new challenges in the forest-based sector at the regional level in the EU” in Brussels.

ONEforest was presented in two different breakout sessions with a fruitful discussion afterward!

The presentation was about the Multi-Criteria Decision Support System, which will be a tool for decision-makers. Combined with the Dynamic Value Chain Model, which will also be developed within the ONEforest project, the Forest Wood Value Chain can be assessed and simulated for the next 30-40 years.

“The workshop was very valuable for ONEforest. There was very positive feedback on the presentation and the project. After the project, meetings with other event participants were scheduled to assess possibilities of cooperation. A question was raised in general to projects and the development of such tools: How will they be financed after the project, and if there is a project planned to scale the tool up? A question to be discussed at the next ONEforest General Assembly”, explained Martin.
